Pad & Tampon Project

One Less Worry provides pads & tampons to Knox County women & teens who may struggle to meet this essential need. Through a network of a dozen partners, OLW distributed over 30,000 pads & tampons in 2017. 2018 looks to be another record-setting year as we expand to new partnerships serving new communities. Our policy is that every person who asks, regardless of gender, age, race, or religion shall receive the products they need. No judgement! Our partners must agree to follow this policy.

Toilet Paper Project

OLW’s keystone recipient of the Toilet Paper Project is AIO Food Pantry, whose clients monthly receive one roll of toilet paper for each member of their household. Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Thomaston Food Pantry receive a combined 150 rolls monthly. Our total monthly commitment of toilet paper averages 1,100 rolls.

Grooming Project

Every month, One Less Worry provides AIO Food Pantry clients with one full-sized toothpaste and one bar of soap. Additionally, Commodity Supplemental Food Program recipients receive either a bar of soap or a cleaning product. Resources permitting, we offer grooming products such as shampoo, deodorant, and laundry pods to our partners. We often bundle hotel-sized grooming products, sample-sized toothpaste & a toothbrush for partners who request them.

Tote Project 2018

One Less Worry’s Tote Project is underway! We’re excited to announce our new collection-site partner, Green with Envy Salons! All five of them!
Totes will be collected November 23 through December 3. Please see list of locations below.
Here’s how it works:
Fill a clean, reusable tote with grooming products. We are specifically asking for five must-have items.  Unopened, full-sized items: tampons or pads, toothpaste, toothbrush, bar soap and shampoo. If you wish, you may add other grooming products of your choice: deodorant, lotion, laundry pods, conditioner, etc. Follow your heart.
Please NO food and no opened products.
These lovely totes will be distributed to Maine organizations that serve folks in need of grooming essentials. As possible, totes will be distributed within the general area they are collected. Distribution will begin mid-December and may extend through early Spring.
We are looking for volunteers for a variety of tasks. If you can help, please email: onelessworry.maine@gmail.com
